Dear Performer,

Thank you for applying for our 3rd Edition of The Heart of Ireland Burlesque Festival!

• The application for the festival is FREE in 2025! We look forward to receiving your applications!

 Please only apply if you are seriously interested and consider the costs (travel & accommodation) that you will incur when attending the festival. As we are a competition there are no payments for  the Newcomer category,  we are a non-profit festival and we are working our way up each year. There is a cash prize , Crown, sash and medal for the new reigning Sionainn Spirit and a guest spot performance at the Gala Show at The Heart of Ireland Awards.

We are delighted to announce that Gala Performers will receive payment this Year and going forward, they will also receive a Crown , sash and medal, and of course will be  our new reigning Heart Of Ireland.

And we will of course help you find the best location to stay while you are here, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

1. DATES and DEADLINES

Application deadline: 10th February 2025 (early close of application may apply if we receive a high volume of applicants)

Notification to applicants: 10th March 2025 ( only successful applicants will be contacted on this date)

If for any reason a performer can not except, we will then reach out to the next successful applicant at a later date

Dates of Festival 12th-13th September 2025

12th September- Sionainn Spirit Award

13th September- Heart of Ireland Award

14th September- no competition– Burlesque Brunch in The Dark Horse Bar followed by Burlesque Cabaret Cruise (Viking Tours Ireland) it is a fabulous way to wind down after the weekend.

2. TERMS OF AGREEMENT 

• We ask all participating performers not to appear in any other Irish Burlesque Festivals two months prior this is to ensure we do not have the same lineup . We also ask that you do not perform at other regional Burlesque shows two weeks prior and or one week after HOIBF.
• Violation of this term can result in immediate disqualification.

• We are happy to announce with our new Venue The Dean Crowe Theatre all performers will receive a ticket for the show they are not performing in.

• All photography and video media taken over the weekend of the festival will be rightfully owed by HOIBF and will be used for future promotion
• Once accepted into HOIBF performers have to confirm within 4 days of notice.

• We will promote your appearance at our festival as much as we can, for example newspapers, radio, tv and all online media. As a competitor you will be expected to promote the festival on social networks or in interviews! Please list your participation on all your websites and social media profiles. 

• Please note that all Video material must be made publicly available online, due to the high volume of applicants last year we request that we do not have to  log in anywhere, join any sites or download any material (YouTube or Vimeo preferred). 

These regulations are essential, so please stick to them closely. Failure to follow the terms and conditions can lead to cancellation of the scheduled performer.

3. What are we looking for? 

All Beautiful Creatures, we are looking for performances that show who you are as a performer, Whether newcomer or experienced performer. Please make sure you apply with a professional Burlesque act, rehearsal videos are welcome but please usure the quality and sound is good

We fully accept acts you may have done before, we do not expect new acts for the festival. ( if you have applied and were successful last year we ask that you apply with a different act)

PLEASE NOTE: Our show and audience  is a safe and inclusive space where any form of discrimination such as racism, homophobia, sexism, body shaming, ageism has no place.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination of any shape or form any performer displaying such behavior will be removed from the festival. Should you feel the need to remove yourself or be removed you will not be refunded.
